Just wear your Kinch badge to the Brudenell Social Club on Wed Aug 27th and show it on the door. Also on the bill are Hoover Dams, Captain Backfire and other special guests. Doors open at 7.30pm. Just heard from the promoter that tonight at the Packhorse is cancelled due to one of the bands pulling out and some PA equipment being nicked! Please pass the message on to anyone you know might be attending. If you're around in Leeds this Sat afternoon, Kinch are playing the band tent at Hyde Park Unity Day at 2.30pm. The event is free and the tent itself is weather proof- come rain, come shine! It's official, peeps: Kinch's debut double A-side single will be released on Oct 6. Kinch will play two shows in Harrogate at their old haunt, the famous Blues Bar: An evening show on Wed Apr 16 and a Sunday lunchtime show on Sun Apr 20. Both performances will feature original Kinch material and a selection of covers. Entry to both gigs is free so we'll see you there! Kinch are filming the video for their song, Old Fashioned Love, at the Adelphi pub, Leeds on Tuesday April 1st We need about 30 extras to dress in retro style of any description. PLEASE EMAIL ROB@KINCHMUSIC.CO.UK IF YOU'D LIKE TO TAKE PART. More specific details will then be sent out to you later this week. You'll need to available for the entire afternoon (12-6pm). No payment is involved but it should be refreshments and a laugh will be provided. Kinch are also playing a gig that evening at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds 6 that will also be filmed. Battling strong competition from the Subsonics, the Novelties and Kill John Connor, KINCH won over the judges to take first prize in last night's Battle of the Bands Final at the Winning Post, York. The sauna-like conditions were in keeping with the K-boys's white hot performance as they were cheered on to victory by a boisterous crowd of supporters. They take home the victor's spoils of £750 plus a day's recording at Pig Hut Studios and an interview on York's very own Minster FM. Thanks to all who came and supported in any round of the comp and all who took part. If you missed out, you can catch this in-form band at the Riverside, Selby, TONIGHT (Fri Apr 20) about 9pm. Rock on! --------------------------------------- 16/04/2008 – Signed! (Reuters, New York) A spokesperson for Kinch HQ announced at a press conference this morning: "The band known to you all as 'Kinch' is no longer an unsigned act. As of this week, Kinch is signed to Halo UK Records, a phonograph company of old London Town. A high quality stereophonic product containing the Music of Kinch will be produced and distributed throughout this United Kingdom in the summer of 2008 by said company." Yes, the kinchmeisters are now one seriously signed band with a single to hit the streets in July. In the meantime, THANKS for sticking with us and let's all enjoy the ride together from here on in!! For those in the Yorkshire locality, Kinch play the Blues Bar, Harrogate this evening (Wed) and again on Sunday lunchtime. K are through to the finals, same venue, in two weeks' time: thu april 19th. come along for another action-packed night, especially if you try sneaking in your own tinnies. indie glory, funk honour and blues pride are at stake here, people! So is a £750 first prize but it's not about that.... --------------------------------------- 23/03/2007 – KINCH take York A valiant kinch came through to take the honours at last night's battle of the bands at the Winning Post in York, the first and only out-of-towners to win in all 8 heats of the competition! Serious thanks to all who came up and to the good people of york for backing them pesky K-boys. And if you thought we needed you before, note to selves: we REALLY need you now! Semi-final is at the same venue on April 5th. --------------------------------------- 20/03/2007 – 1st Stadium gig announced That's right, gang. No BS! You heard it here first: Kinch are playing Headingley Stadium on Fri June 1st. And what's more, they'll be followed by the Leeds Rhinos and Warrington Wolves to keep the 18,000+ Kinch fans entertained. --------------------------------------- 13/03/2007 – Atrium gig CANCELLED Due to illness, probably not AIDS-related, KINCH has had to pull out of tomorrow night’s gig at the Atrium. :-( Big apols to anyone who was coming down to see us and to promoters Wrong Speed.
